Using 90-Day Career Change Planner

When to use this

Use this once you have chosen a direction and need to convert it into dated actions. It assumes the decision is made. If you are still weighing directions, start with the Career Direction Scorecard instead.

How to read the result

The plan is deliberately short. Ninety days is long enough to build one skill, produce one piece of evidence, and have several conversations, and short enough that you will remember what you committed to. If your list has more than about six items, it is a wish list rather than a plan.

What this tool cannot do

The planner cannot tell you whether a credential is genuinely required for the role you want. Verify that directly with employers or job postings before paying for a program. It also cannot account for hiring cycles in your field, which in some industries run on a fixed annual calendar.

Next step

Put each item in a calendar with a real date and a rough duration. An action without a date is an intention, and the first week is where most plans quietly stall. Review the plan at day thirty and cut anything you have not started.
